When most of us think about going on vacation it’s usually with a nice sandy beach in mind or a quiet spot where you can relax. The idea of adventure trips have become so popular there are now travel companies that specialize in providing a unique holiday experience for the solo traveler and groups. 1. Pamplona – A holiday in Spain sounds like just the sort of thing to help you shed away your worries and just enjoy a few days in the sun. 4. Arctic Adventure – If you are someone that looks forward to the arrival of the winter months, then you might just find that a trip to the Arctic Circle is something that is right up your alley. You can do a little snowshoeing, a little dog sledding, and get to see the beauty of the Northern Lights up close and personal.


5. Mount Kilimanjaro – We all imagine getting to the top of the world’s most famous mountains as something that is completely out of reach. It doesn’t have to be though, and you can in fact choose one of six different trails to hike to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. It can take up to a week to make it to the top, but just imagine the rewards of standing at the top of the world.


6. Machu Picchu – The ancient Incan city of macho Picchu is one that is on the bucket list of many world travelers, but its difficulty to reach is what makes it so hard to see. If you are prepared to take a week-long hike along the mountainous, demanding Inca Trail, then you can get to see that magnificent place.


7. Desert adventure – While most of us now travel by train or car, there are still parts of the world where the camel is King. Take a trip to Morocco and head across the desert on the ship of the desert while you camp under the stars at night.


8. Sail the Amazon – At almost 4,000 miles in length, the Amazon is a river that is a perfect place for those looking for a little holiday adventure. Crazy wildlife hides around every corner, as do villages that rarely see visitors from the outside world.


9. Hang gliding in Rio – Most people head to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain when they want an overhead view of Rio, but you can see it in a whole new way by hang gliding across the city. Rio has become on of the most popular destinations for one of the world’s craziest adventures.

Swimming with sharks – If you have always dreamed of getting in the water with the deadliest of all sea creatures, then the good news is that you are spoiled for choice when it comes for places to do so. Mexico, Australia, and even the good old US of A are home to waters that have sharks as native species.
